Connect social media accounts
Connect Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn so FavStash and your AI agent can schedule and publish; analytics remain provider-dependent.
Channels are the social accounts FavStash can post to and pull analytics from. Connect them once in the Portal and they're available everywhere — the scheduling calendar, the analytics overview, and every AI Connect tool.
The free plan includes one connected Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or LinkedIn account. Paid plans raise the channel cap and support multiple accounts per network.
Connecting a channel#
- Open Portal → Schedule.
- In the channels bar, choose Add channel.
- Pick a platform — you're handed to that platform's official sign-in to approve the connection.
- Approve, and you're bounced back with the channel live.
You can connect multiple accounts per network — a main and an alt, client accounts, a brand account — and the picker shows how many you already have connected on each platform.
Your Instagram account must be a Professional account (Creator or Business) — that's an Instagram API requirement for publishing and insights, not a FavStash choice. Personal accounts can be switched to Professional for free in Instagram's settings.
YouTube
Connect with the Google account that owns the channel. If you manage multiple channels, connect each one separately.
TikTok
Connect with your TikTok login. Both video and photo posting are supported.
Connect the LinkedIn member whose personal profile should receive the posts.
FavStash can publish public text, JPEG/PNG image, multi-image, and MP4 video
updates to that member's main feed. WebP images are rejected before submission.
LinkedIn's self-serve connection does not return the member's public profile
slug, so FavStash displays the account email LinkedIn returns as the connected
account identifier instead of presenting an email prefix as an @username.
LinkedIn does not expose personal-profile analytics or owned-post history
through the self-serve product, so the channel is shown as publishing only.
LinkedIn organization Pages require separate Community Management API approval and stay hidden until that approval is enabled for the FavStash app.
What permissions each connection grants#
FavStash asks for the minimum scopes needed to publish and to read performance data — nothing else:

Connections are used only when you (or an AI acting on your instruction) schedule a post or open analytics. FavStash never posts on its own, and access tokens are stored server-side — they're never shown in the app, the API, or to a connected AI.
Reconnecting when a token expires#
Platform tokens don't last forever. FavStash refreshes credentials proactively when a provider grants a refresh path. LinkedIn's standard self-serve grant is different: it normally lasts about 60 days without a programmatic refresh token, so FavStash keeps it usable until expiry and then asks you to reconnect. If a provider is temporarily unavailable, the channel shows a retry state; if the grant has expired or been revoked, it shows reconnect needed.
When that happens the channel shows a reconnect needed state, and any scheduled post or analytics call against it will tell you the same thing. Fix is one step: open Portal → Schedule → Manage channels and reconnect the account — your scheduled posts and history stay intact.
Disconnecting#
From Portal → Schedule → Manage channels, choose Disconnect on any account. This immediately deletes the access tokens FavStash holds for that account, and cached analytics stop refreshing and expire shortly after.
If you want belt-and-suspenders, you can also revoke FavStash on the platform side: Instagram (Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites), Google (security.google.com), TikTok (Settings → Security → Apps), or LinkedIn (Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services).
