Core features
Scheduling
One composer, every channel: draft it, queue it, or post it now — FavStash handles publish time for you.
Scheduling lives in Portal → Schedule: a calendar of everything queued, drafted, published, or failed, plus a composer that posts to all your channels at once.
The calendar#
Switch between week and month views. Every post shows up as a card at its scheduled time, color-coded by state — queued, draft, published, error. Click any card to open it, edit it, or see why it failed. Click an empty slot to start composing for that time.
The composer#
One post, many channels. The composer has three parts:
- Caption — written once, shared across every selected channel (it becomes the description on YouTube).
- Media — upload images or video. Platform rules apply per channel (see below).
- Channels + per-platform settings — pick any combination of your connected accounts; each platform gets its own settings tab.
Instagram settings
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Post type | Post or Story |
- Instagram requires at least one image or video — caption-only posts aren't a thing there.
- A video posts as a Reel.
- A Story takes exactly one image or video.
YouTube settings
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Title | Required, 2–100 characters (no < or >) |
| Visibility | Public, Unlisted, or Private |
| Made for kids | Yes / No (self-declared, required by YouTube) |
| Tags | Comma-separated, max 500 characters combined |
| Thumbnail | Pick one of your uploaded images |
| Upload certification | Confirm that the upload complies with the YouTube Terms of Service (including the Community Guidelines) and does not violate others' copyright or privacy rights |
- YouTube posts need exactly one video; the caption becomes the description (max 5,000 characters). Publishing requires the upload certification; drafts do not.
TikTok settings
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Posting method | Direct post (publishes to your profile) or Upload to inbox (finish in the TikTok app) |
| Privacy | Public, Friends, Followers, or Only me — required for direct posts |
| Interactions | Allow duets / stitches / comments |
| AI-generated content | Label the post as AI-made |
| Commercial disclosure | Branded content (paid partnership) and/or promotes your own brand |
| Photo post title | Optional, up to 90 characters (photo posts only) |
- TikTok takes one video or 1–10 images. PNG images aren't supported — use JPEG or WebP.
Draft vs. schedule vs. post now#
Every post is exactly one of three things when you hit the button:
| Mode | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved with everything filled in, but nothing will publish. Promote it to the queue whenever. |
| Schedule | Queued for a specific date and time (shown in your calendar; stored as UTC under the hood). |
| Post now | Publishes immediately to every selected channel. |
Editing and cancelling queued posts#
Queued and drafted posts are fully editable — caption, media, settings, and publish time. Rescheduling a queued post moves its publish slot automatically. Cancelling deletes the schedule and marks the post cancelled.
Once a post is published, it can't be edited or cancelled from FavStash — that's platform territory. Edit or delete it on the platform itself.
What happens at publish time#
You don't need to be awake, online, or anywhere near a computer:
- It's automatic. At the scheduled time, FavStash publishes to each selected channel with your per-platform settings.
- Retries are built in. If a channel's token needs a refresh, FavStash refreshes and retries. Transient failures are retried automatically (up to 3 attempts) before giving up.
- Errors are surfaced, not swallowed. If a post can't publish — expired connection, platform rejection, bad media — it flips to an error state on your calendar with the actual reason attached, so you can fix and requeue.
- Published posts get a link. Each successfully published post stores its live URL, so you (and your AI) can jump straight to it.
Platform quirks worth knowing#
Every platform has opinions. The ones that will actually affect you:
TikTok — inbox mode until app audit. Until a developer app passes TikTok's audit, TikTok restricts direct publishing (unaudited apps can only direct-post to private accounts). If your direct posts are rejected, use Upload to inbox — the video lands in your TikTok inbox and you tap through the final publish in the TikTok app. TikTok also caps pending inbox posts at 5 per 24 hours.
YouTube — daily upload quota. YouTube's API enforces daily upload limits. If you hit
quotaExceededoruploadLimitExceeded, the post errors with that reason — spread big backfills across days.
Instagram — media required, always. No text-only posts. At least one image or video, and videos publish as Reels. Media URLs must be publicly reachable at publish time (FavStash's own uploads always are).
